IPTV, (all you need to know about IPTV)

IPTV with acronym (Internet protocol television) is a method of distributing television content over IP that enables a more customized and interactive user experience. Instead of being delivered through traditional terrestrial, satellite signal, and cable television formats. The video channels and programs are delivered to the television sets through a broadband connection, instead of being delivered through the conventional cable or broadcast formats. The video streams are encoded into a series of internet protocol packets and then carried out through the public internet means which can be received by anyone by having a set-top box and a subscription for the service. For
IPTV to function there must be a internet connection, at least a 3G network is needed but for best performance a 4G network is the best to use. A 2G network can’t stream IPTV. Also you would also need lot of data bundles because IPTV consumes lot of data’s although data consumption depends on:

1.     How long you watch the IPTV channels
2.     And the quality of the channel picture is it HD? It depends

Thank God for Advancement of technology most satellite decoders now come with the function of using IPTV on it.  decoders like Strong, Qsat, Dreambox, Azsky, to mention a few. Nowadays we now have specific devices that are just for IPTV i.e. you can’t use the device/box as a satellite decoder; they are dedicated for IPTV only.

We can see IPTV in three different phases:
1.     live television, with or without interactivity related to the current TV show;
2.     Time-shifted television: catch-up TV (replays a TV show that was broadcast hours or days ago), start-over TV (replays the current TV show from its beginning);
3.     Video on demand (VOD): browse a catalog of videos, not related to TV programming.
Note:
  • IPTV comes as FREE channels and PREMIUM channels. For you to enjoy IPTV you have to pay for their premium channel though its far cheaper than our paid satellite subscription. You can as well assess the free channels but it can go off at any time without prior notice, and be ready to see annoying adverts while watching their free packages
  • IPTV these days now have their own device/box (eg. Ancloud p5), decoders (e.g. strong, qsat, dream box, etc) and mobile device apps (e.g. sybla tv, mobdro, live TV, etc).

  • IPTV is very stable provided you paid for their premium service and you have a strong internet connection.

  • There are host of channels to enjoy on IPTV movies: any kind of movies, sports: such as beinsport 1-12, skysport, and more, news, entertainments and lot more including adult channels which are mostly free on Qsat decoders.
  • IPTV is the order of the day they are a good replacement for dongle downtimes as at the time of posting this all dongles are off. Moving to IPTV is the best but the data consumption is the pain for us especially Africa and stable network. IPTV has a unique stability when using a 3G, 3.7gG and 4G networks. You can as well stream IPTV on pc using some links which mostly are premium.
