The long awaited Joseph Yobo Centenary Match, a Match Organized by the Rivers State Government for ex-Super Eagles International, the match will feature former senior Nigerian national team players and some selected foreign internationals.
The match will take place today Friday, 27th May 2016 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt, this would be the last match for Joseph Yobo as he takes a bow from football. Yobo, the first Nigerian player to reach 100 caps for Nigeria has had a great career which included his first spell @ Standard Liege, Marseille, Everton, Fenerbahce and Norwich.
Among the stars to feature for this game are: Nwankwo Kanu, John Terry, Samuel Eto’o, Ayew brothers, Aaron Mokoena, Yaya Toure, John Obi Mikel, Ahmed Musa, Saido Berahino, Sulley Muntari, Treso Lomana LuaLua, Kolo Toure, Drogba,Wayne Rooney and Austin Jay-Jay Okocha.Former Everton and Manchester United coach, David Moyes, will manage the Friends of Yobo XI with Shaibu Amodu managing the Super Eagles.
The Game would be aired live on SuperSport 3 and SuperSport 9 from 4pm (GMT+1) today 27th of May 2016.
